2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Release Date, Price – The Toyota Corolla is the best-selling plate in the world, with a total of 11 generations coming and going since its introduction in 1966. The last generation 12 broke the previous cover in 2018 at The Geneva International Motor Show is under the Auris badge, and now it looks like the Japanese brand will bring the icon to the International Auto Show in New York in 2018 in a modernized modern gate format. Highlights include an attractive exterior styling, an incredible amount of technology, a sporty chassis fit, and a standard six-speed manual transmission.
2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Exterior
Toyota has been crying lately with regards to exterior design, and sometimes it works, while other times. Well not so much. Fortunately, the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback seems to be taking advantage of the company’s latest design language.
The new style starts at the front, where the nose is much rounder this time. The section of the grill dominates here, with a large opening that makes up most of the bumper section. The trapezoidal grille has been developed under the design language Toyota Under Priority Catamaran and Keen Look and aims to emphasize the wider dimensions of the car. On top you will find fine headlights, with J-shaped casings that extend from the central edge of the plates, winding on the wings. The daytime running lights are complemented with Bi-Beam LED.
While the busy front seems to attract attention, the sides are much cleaner. The lines of characters give the machine a rake tilted forward, from bottom to top and nearing the tail. The window frames are black and have a teardrop shape. The size of the wheels varies between 16 inches and 18 inches in diameter. In the back, we find a very attractive hatch section. Toyota says the look is meant to communicate athletics, and we think it did a good job for that purpose with its rounded proportions and sharp edges.
The hatch itself is set at a steeper angle than the previous model, with Toyota moving it 14 degrees forward for a sportier look. Thin taillights combine the headlights with additional LED elements throughout, including the inner lens that diffuses, which helps accentuate the vehicle’s position. There is also a smooth bottom lip and a chrome diffuser for the rear bumper.
Even as LEDs, a chrome-plated rear diffuser, and massive alloy wheels are preferred at some point in the range, there are still a few aesthetic info to distinguish the SE and XSE equipment levels. For example, the XSE Top Trim adds 18-inch wheels, LED fog lights and a chrome grille edge. It also comes with an Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS), which is offered as a pairing with the CVT transmission. As a reference, AFS actively focuses the headlights (both vertically and horizontally) to obtain more precise illumination, using the inputs for the steering angle, vehicle speed, and other parameters.
In terms of dimensions, the 2019 Toyota Corolla hatch greatly changes the outgoing Corolla iM. To begin with, the front overhang was reduced by 0.08 inches, while the rear overhang lengthened by 0.8 inches. The set has also been reduced by an inch and is 1.2 inches wider and 1.5 inches longer than the previous five-door. It also has wider front and rear tracks, and a longer wheelbase. The hood is two inches lower to improve forward visibility.
2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Interior
The interior of the Toyota Corolla Hatchback 2019 seems to be a much better place to sit than the outgoing model. Toyota has given it a minimalist design and a horizontal design that looks much more premium than before, with ample surfaces and a clutter-free interface.
The drivers are introduced in a newly redesigned multifunction steering wheel with two-spoke cushions that look down, brushed upholstery and flush buttons that are easily accessible along the length of the thumb. There is also smooth and sporty side supports for the seats. The materials used include silver accents and black piano surfaces, as well as the contrasting stitching available.
The dashboard, the 2019 Corolla gate allows you to mount a high-resolution 8.0-inch touch screen by switching it from the center display mounted on the outgoing model. This provides inputs to modify various vehicle settings, audio system, navigation, smartphone support and other applications, with the thin air conditioning control interface below with a small digital readout and some hard buttons.
Other updates include a board that is 0.9 inches thinner than before, while the center console is 1.7 inches wider between the passengers sitting on the left front and right. The center console is also longer and mounts a central tray right in front of the gear lever, a perfect place to store your wallet or phone. The tray can also be used with an optional Qi wireless charger.
The front passengers now have a lower hip point, which is measured at 10.82 inches. The new padding provides a more comfortable place to sit, while the front door cup holders can hold 24-ounce bottles. There are also new cushions on the back, and passengers are entitled to 16-ounce cup holders.
The standard specification includes the Entune 3.0 infotainment platform, as well as compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa. The operating system deploys the platform through an 8.0-inch touchscreen and gets six-speaker audio, Entune 3.0 App Connect, Safety Connect, Wi-Fi, GPS Scout Link support, Siri Eyes Free, an auxiliary audio jack, a USB 2.0 port, iPod connectivity, AM / FM, MP3 playback, voice control, hands-free phone use, Bluetooth support, customizable home screen and traffic weather updates.
Performance of the 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback engine
Compared to the outgoing 2019 Toyota Corolla, the new model offers more power, higher levels of efficiency and fewer emissions. The engine is also smaller and lighter than the 1.8-liter engine it replaces, effectively reducing the total center of gravity. In addition to the improved interior, the cold engine contributes to NVH’s overall improvements with a stiffer crankcase, a lighter resin head, and a grooved oil pan.
Helping Combustion is a D-4S fuel injection system that offers high-pressure direct injection and low-pressure fuel injection, adapting the fuel supply method for a better adjustment to the current situation. There is also Dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Time Intelligence), with VVT-iE (Variable Valve Time-intelligence by electric motor) for admission and VVT-i for escape. The VVT-iE uses a single electric motor to control valve timing, unlike oil pressure in a traditional system.
Power and torque have not yet been revealed. As a reference, the current 2019 Toyota Corolla produces more than 132 horses, and we would like the 2019 Toyota Corolla to produce more than 150 horses, especially when we look at the next paragraph.
