2019 BMW M8 Prices, Specs, Engine – The appearance of the M8 will mark a primary place for the identity plate, which did no longer get hold of the M treatment in the 1990s. although BMW made a prototype, it eventually determined that there may be no market for the BMW M8 and the challenge has been abandoned. With Mercedes already presenting the AMG versions of the S-magnificence Coupe and Bentley producing the Continental GT velocity for some years, BMW wishes an eight collection and a 2019 BMW M8 to keep up with the opposition.
2019 BMW M8 Design
The grid also has a less sharp design, more in tune with current BMW codes. This is not bad since the vertical slats are thin and thin and the kidneys wide enough to produce a wide position. The headlights are obviously thicker than the concept, but thinner than anything you get now, except the i8. At the bottom, the bumper seems to be of the standard type BMW M, with large outlets on the sides and longer mouths with a lattice grid in the center. This section will be exclusive of the M8, while the series 8 will have a less aggressive element.
On the sides, the big ball is missing behind the front wings, while the roof is slightly higher. This is not surprising since concept cars are generally more elegant than their production counterparts. However, the good news is that the rear hips, one of the most elegant features of the series 8 concept, if you ask me, seem to be very similar. Turning to specific additions to M, we have stronger side skirts and a set of juicy five-spoke wheels in dark gray. Behind them, we can see the blue brake calipers required.
On the back, the 2019 BMW M8 has very little in common with the concept car. For starters, the rear lights of production are quite common and do not extend much in the wings. The trunk lid also seems to have a different shape, but still has an important spoiler. It is true that it is not as massive as can be seen in the concept, but it should give the couple an elegant look. Most fascias are camouflaged and the taillights are not visible all the time, but they must reach far enough in the trunk. The license plate is placed below, as in the concept, but the bumper does not have massive folds at the sides. Below, there is a four-way exhaust configuration as seen in each M car around.
2019 BMW M8 had very little to say about the exterior features and production schedule of the BMW M8 but did not share any information about the interior or the technology. On the other hand, we have the concept of Series 8 to get advice on what we can find in the M8. Unsurprisingly, the interior of the car is a more sophisticated version of BMW’s current design language. It has an attractive combination of clean surfaces and vertical lines, an elegant center console, fully digital instrument groups and a new steering wheel design.
Although clean and tidy on the passenger side, the instrument panel is highlighted by high-end red stitching on the upper side and around the central area of the stack. It also has almost triangular air-conditioning holes oriented vertically at each corner. It is likely that these characteristics find their way into the production series 8 and, to a certain extent, also into the M8.
The V-8 will likely come in the form of a 4.4-liter twin-turbo unit similar to the one offered in the new BMW M5. Production should be close to the 600 horsepower mark to counter the 577 horsepower delivered by the Mercedes-AMG S63. xDrive AWD is likely to be standard, at least here in the United States. The V-12 engine could come from the M760Li, which uses a 6.6-liter V-12 twin turbo. This unit rotates 600 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque in the Series 7 range and is expected to penetrate further into the M8. Since the Mercedes-AMG S65 is good for 621 horsepower, it would not be surprising to see BMW’s push towards 650 horsepower.
The V-12 in 2019 BMW M8 engine is also likely to come with AWD, which would give it an advantage over the unique MercD RWD. This would be the most visible in the acceleration department, with the M8 probably reaching 60 mph in less than 3.7 seconds. As with most Bimmers here in the United States, the 2019 BMW M8 should come with an automatic transmission only.
Release date and price
It’s pretty clear that the 2019 BMW M8 will not be cheap. My bet is that the big tourism will get more than the xDrive M760i, which sells for $ 156,700. Expect a price of almost $ 170,000 for the V-8 model and a sticker of at least $ 200,000 for the V-12 variant.
